Tuesday, July 16th- Data Collection Day; Introduction to Driveline Hitting Assessment Principles

8:00 a.m. - Wake up Call 

8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Breakfast in Dining Hall 

10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Three Station Circuit - each station is 2 hours long, 15 minute break in between each circuit 

  • Station 1: 2 hours 

    • K-Vest and Edgertronic Camera - Data Collection

      • Collect data on each hitters kinematic sequencing, rotational velocities, etc

      • High Speed Video Collection of each hitters swing 

  • Station 2: 2 hours 

    • Bat Fitting and Batted Ball Profile - Data Collection 

      • Each hitter to take 80 swings total with 4 different variations of bats; three handles and four different MOI (weight distribution). 

        • Swing data collected via Blast Motion Sensor

        • Batted Ball data collected via HitTrax unit 

          • Data will be collected and turned into a full swing metric report

      • Each hitter to take 120-150 swings with their game bat 

        • Swing data collected via Blast Motion Sensor 

        • Batted Ball data collected via HitTrax unit 

          • Data will be collected and turned into a full batted ball profile 

Station 3: 2 hours 

    • Position Player Throwing and Defense : introduction to Driveline’s throwing philosophies and protocols:

      • Dynamic Warm up / Roll out / Lacrosse ball 

      • J-band series 

      • Wrist weight series 

      • Shoulder Tube 

      • Plyocare Ball Work 

      • Catch Play 

      • Individual Defense 

      • Driveline Recovery Protocol 

5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - Dinner 

6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. - Free Time (Rec room / Patio / Bunk House)

Sunday, July 17th - Assessment Report Day

8:00 a.m. - Wake up call

9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Individual Meetings to break down each athlete’s assessment report

  • Introduction to TRAQ:

    • each attendee will be provided all of his assessment information via USB Flash Drive, as well as one month of individualized hitting programming via TRAQ, Driveline’s proprietary training software
